What do you think about international students and their life?
I don’t know if you ever meet someone who would say “ I wish I could be you”! In my experience, I have met a few people who have said that to me. People look at me and think I have a happy and fancy life then they told me that they want to be me, want to live a life like me. One of my friend told me that she wants to be an international student just like me so she can live alone by herself, she could do everything, go everywhere she likes to without asking for any permission. However, she have never known how hard for me to live alone without family, how hard for me to learn and do everything by myself. There are many pressured when I have to facing many struggles in life and I have to solve it all by myself. People around me just seeing me living a happy life, but no one see me facing the struggles every single day. I know it sounds like I am so dramatic but I just don’t want people to talk or opinion about my own life.
By living in this life, I have learned many experience and know that “somethings that you see doesn’t mean that is all real. You have to be in that situation so you might understand it”. Be happy at who you are and be successful to achieve what you want or become who you want to become.
Don't ever give up or let what people think get to you. And I know that is hard advice to take and it isn't easy. But trust me, if you take it day by day their words will stop making you feel a certain way. I use to hear similar words from people about "You don't need to do this" "You have this" "All this money" even when it was and still is a struggle and I don't have much like they say either. Embrace it. If you're lucky to be an international student, you are lucky. If things come hard, so what. That just means it's worth getting. You're doing great and I know it's tough because you want people to stop, but let them and use that to fuel you.

ReplyDeleteI think this is very interesting topic to talk about. Maybe a little more on the personal side, but brings a very interesting awareness topic that I had not considered a thing before.
